What a year. At long last we cracked it and won a CC and then Best of
Breed at Crufts with Frosty (CH PHREELANCER PHROSTY MOON
) It had taken us more than 40 years to achieve this.
The year started well with Corydon Il Supremo going Best in Show at the East Anglian Collie Association Open Show in February. He also won the Limit Dog Class at Crufts, before going to the National where he won the Dog CC and Best of Breed under Derek Smith. So becoming CH. CORYDON IL SUPREMO. Later in the year he won Best of Breed at the Smooth Collie Ch. Show under Charlotte Hoier from Denmark.
Frosty went on to win another 7 CCs during the year. These were at
S.K.C under Joan Sykes, Three Counties under German Judge Herr K
Frankenberger, Border Union under Ros Makepeace, Windsor under
Finish Judge Mr R Vuorinen, where he was also Group 2 under Mr T
Thorn, Paignton under John Geddes, East Anglian collie Association under Bev White, where he was also Best in Show, and Richmond under Joan House. He was Best of Breed at each of the 8 shows where he won the CC. He also won a Res. CC under Mr E Hulme.
We started showing CORYDON PRIMA DONNA this year and she
covered herself in glory by some very big wins. Her biggest was at
National Working & Pastoral Breeds where she won the big Dog World / Purina Puppy Stakes. She also won this same class on her day at Windsor. She also won Best Puppy in Breed at Three Counties and
Southern Counties. She also won Best of Breed at Huntingdon C.S. Open Show.
Then we had a really big win with CORYDON WILLOW WAGTAIL. At
the Newark Agricultural Show where not only did she win Best of Breed, but went on to Reserve Best in Show. A big win because this show always had a large entry in all breeds.
