This was a very good year for our show dogs. It started very well as
CORYDON LA STUPENDA won Best in Show at the London Collie Club Open Show in January under Mr T Kemp. Then ALSSALA CANNY BAIRN AT CORYDON won the Reserve Challenge Certificate at Scottish Breeds under Mr W Tuke. At this same show CORYDON SUDDEN IMPACT won Best Puppy in Breed and also won the Puppy Stakes Class under Mrs B Lawson Whyte which meant that he qualified for the Dog World Beta Pup of the Year Finals in London.
CORYDON BLACKCAT won Best in Show at The Collie Association Open Show under Derek Field, and then was Best of Breed under Mrs P Cross- Stern at the Newark and Notts Ag Soc Open Show. Always had a big entry here.
National Show under Mr A Broadhead, and then CORYDON MOON

While ALSSALA CANNY BAIRN AT CORYDON won the Res CC at Windsor under Mr D Samuel. Then at the last show of the year West of England Collie Society Ch Show CORYDON LA STUPENDA won the CC and Best in Show.
So ended a very good year for the show dogs in the kennel.
Our dogs won 38 first prizes, 4 CCs, 2res CCs, 7 B.O.Bs and 4 Best in
Show awards
.The main litter of the year was from CORYDON MOON GODDESS who was mated to CH CORYDON BLACKCAT and produced eleven puppies. All survived and required no help at all from us. This litter produced some very big winners including CH CORYDON KITTYCAT who was top Collie in the UK for 1996. SA CH CORYDON ARISTOCAT (tri dog) and AUS CH CORYDON PROSPERINA. (Blue Merle bitch) Interestingly, there were 5 Tricolour bitches in the litter. But Moon Goddess was to die just 12 months later from another disgraceful example of gross veterinary negligence. She was yet another of ours who died before winning that 3rd and qualifying CC.
